Job Description Overview:

The Talent Development Manager is responsible for both sourcing and recruiting new talent and developing existing employees to meet the organization's current and future needs. This role plays a critical part in building a skilled, motivated, and high-performing workforce that aligns with the company's strategic goals. Will also provide mentoring to the team on initiatives and strategies to reach OKRs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Talent Acquisition 10%

  • Develop Recruitment Strategies: Create and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Sourcing: Use various channels to identify and attract potential candidates, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.
  • Job Postings: Write and place effective job advertisements.
  • Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial screenings, coordinate interviews, and assess candidates' skills and cultural fit.
  • Offer Management: Manage the offer process, including negotiating terms and extending offers.
  • Employer Branding: Promote the company as an employer of choice through branding initiatives such as social media campaigns, job fairs, and other events.

 

Talent Development 10%

  • Onboarding: Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs to help new hires integrate smoothly into the organization.
  • Training and Development: Identify skill gaps and create training programs, workshops, and other developmental opportunities to enhance employees' skills.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance review processes, provide feedback, and set development goals.
  • Career Pathing: Develop and manage career progression plans to help employees understand their growth opportunities within the organization.
  • Employee Engagement: Design and implement initiatives to increase employee engagement and retention.

 

Strategic Planning 30%

  • Workforce Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast talent needs and develop workforce plans.
  • Succession Planning: Identify high-potential employees and create succession plans for critical roles.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion within the organization through targeted recruitment and development initiatives.

 

Relationship Management 20%

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, hiring managers, and HR partners to understand their talent needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, training providers, and other third-party vendors.

 

Metrics and Analytics 30%

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize HR analytics and metrics to track recruitment and development performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on talent acquisition and development metrics to senior leadership.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a strong recruiting background
  • Familiar with Federal and CA Employment and Labor laws and regulations
  • Advance level of proficiency in Performance Management Systems, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task, has analytical skills with attention to details and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to perform data and information analysis and draw logical conclusion
  • Ability to use available resources to find solutions or answers
  • Ability to be pro-active and always follow through
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
  • Excellent listening skills with ability to keep confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years combination of talent acquisition, compensation, workforce planning, learning development, and analytics experience
  • Master's degree, PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred not required

Working Conditions:

  • Office Only: Typically works in an office environment
  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment for extended periods of time
$105,000 to $130,000 is an estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, and 401(k). The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
